Delectable Dubai

Dubai is the most populous and commercial city in the United Arab Emirates. It is a city which is unrivalled when it comes to shows of opulence and grandeur. It has the tallest buildings, the most expensive hotels and the finest beaches, so if that’s what you want, get yourself on a Dubai tour package holiday.

Although it’s not the capital city, Dubai has somewhat overshadowed Abu Dhabi in recent years, sometimes to the extent that people call the whole country ‘Dubai’. This is largely due to the huge amount of investment ploughed into the area by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It really is now a big player on the world stage, with incredibly ambitious construction projects having been completed. The large expatriate community itself, bears witness to the expansion of this emirate and its ever increasing cosmopolitan nature. In fact, its expansive Westernization is something of an anomaly, positioned as it is in the heart of the conservative Middle East.

Wedged between the desert and the coast of the Persian Gulf, Dubai has plenty to offer for people of all ages, and is a great place to visit whether you’re a couple or a family. Below we’ve jotted down a few things we recommend you include as part of your Dubai tour package:

Burj Khalifa – a trip to the top of the tallest building in the world should definitely be a part of your time in Dubai. Not only do you get to see the wonderful views from the 124th floor, but you’ll be guided through a multimedia show, which begins in the reception area and takes you through the history of Dubai and tells the story of the Burj Khalifa itself.

Mall of the Emirates – if you like shopping you’ll love the Mall of the Emirates. In fact, it’s not just a humungous shopping complex (with over 450 shops), but it also has an entertainment centre called Magic Planet (which is perfect for the kids). There’s so much to do here – even an indoor ski slope.

Mamzer Beach Park – this beach is made up of several beautiful coves, each with sheltered areas and changing rooms. There are also facilities for having a barbeque, renting sun loungers, and some cafes and restaurants. It’s a great place for a day out with the family.
